SUSAN:
I was born in Alabama but after the age of three I was raised in Arizona. My family brought "the south" with them to our new home. So, grits and hushpuppies were a part of life. They raised me to believe that my word is my bond and respecting others is the only way to be. I honor myself and my family everyday by walking that way in life today.
Soon after high school I married and began my military dependent life. We had three beautiful, smart, and kind children that have gone on to be amazing adults. My eldest son has served in the Navy and has since gotten out and used his GI bill to get his master's degree. My daughter is currently serving in the Air Force and is doing an amazing job. I love that they have served their country. I definitely can relate to the military life and what that means for the families of those serving.
We were stationed at NAS Whidbey in '05 and I have since fell in love with Whidbey! I am no longer married and my children have all moved away but this is and will always be my home. The unique combination of beauty and small town has such a pull on my heart that I could never live anywhere else.
Stuart and I met at another brokerage but decided to move together to Windermere and have loved every minute. The fact that we get to help buyers and sellers get through the most stressful and exciting process of buying/selling a home is so moving. The trust that is placed in our hands is not something we take for granted. We work so well together and enjoy each other's company, which can help put our clients more at ease. Laughter is always the best medicine and we have lots of that!
STU:
Stu was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta Canada and has 3 brothers. He moved to the west coast with his parents in 1976 and stayed on the coast until 1991 when an opportunity arose and he packed up the family and moved to the Tampa bay area. In 1997 he was transferred to Everett, WA with full intention of going back to Florida after fulfilling his 4 years. He fell in love with the area and chose to stay. In 2017 my wife and I bought a condo on Whidbey island and fell in love with the area. A year later we bought our current home here and decided to stay. Whidbey just has that charm. Great place to live and so much nature to see.
My wife and I have a blended family of 7 (3 ladies and 4 gentlemen) and a total of 16 grandies.....so we are busy busy busy. I started my real estate career in 2019 after being convinced by a friend and my daughter who is a realtor in California. I am so glad that I did as I truly love each day helping folks get that home that fits their needs and budget. I chose to move my career to Windermere Real Estate Whidbey in March of 22 and must say that it was a very good decision for me and my family. Susan and I met at a different brokerage and decided to join this brokerage together and work together when it makes sense. We work well together and having 2 agents on your team can be a great help....one of us is always around to help out!!
